I discovered Substack after a year of writing and publishing regularly on Medium. I was attracted to the business model immediately and even purchased stock when it came my way.
I enjoy the format of Substack for written and audio work. The interface is clean and straightforward and I’ve found the learning curve to be minimal when it comes to creating links, tags, and pages.
And Substack was the birthplace of Spirit Seeds, my alchemical playground and resonant frequency field. For that, I am eternally grateful.
But lately, I’ve felt blocked. I began noticing a feeling of palpable aversion to the platform in early October, and it continued to grow.
Two days ago, I had a flash of insight.
I could turn off paid subscriptions altogether and just write for fun!
I felt the heavens part and the joyful light of creation fill my soul. All of a sudden the Field was wide open and fertile.
My mind buzzed with possibilities. Memoir pieces, impromptu podcasts, photo essays, poetry, oh my! I felt reborn.
Of course, this is on the heels of my recent Field update, which has already transmuted into something new.
That’s the alchemy of creative expression.
So my friends, going forward, all the magic of Spirit Seeds will be available to subscribers free of charge.
Thank you so much for being here. xo
Congratulations Kelley! I feel the same! It is freeing to just create and not be worried or pressured by the monetizing aspect of this space. Enjoy your creating!
Good for you. I have never looked at Substack as a means to monetize my thoughts so I think we see the world the same. Have fun creating and feeling your freedom :)
